Hi, I have been using my surge now for about 6 months, and am happy with it.
I use it for workouts, and for playing squash.
Question is, since there is no "squash" on the list of exercises, what mode is best ? I usually use the "workout" mode, but am not sure if this is the way to go.
Other thing is the crazy flor count..
Yesterday, I supposedly climbed 42 floor while playing 45 minutes of squash...
Any suggestions ?

I use my Surge for Squash and set it going on the "Tennis" activity. I figure whatever algorithm Fitbit have set up for Tennis, it should suit the movement tracking for a game of Squash, which is obviously similar in many respects.
As for the flights of stairs climbed... no idea, maybe you did lots of high smashes that registered as climbing?!?

Thanks for the tip.. did not know that the surge had a "tennis" feature, and had to activate it on my surge. Will try it out next time I play.
And no... I did not make a lot of high smashes...
Also, I wear the surge on my left wrist, but play with my right hand, so it should not be affected that much...
Still at a loss about the floor count...

@MTT3107@bfill1985 Welcome to our Community!
@MTT3107 You could get a high amount of floors for several reasons. Mainly if there is a gust of air that may confuse the altimeter into thinking there is a change in pressure (this will indicate that there is a change in altitude that will be recorded as floors climbed). Another situation could be the AC or opening the door or if the weather is actually influencing the pressure (this happens a lot during rainy days). Finally if the is sweat or moisture blocking the altimeter then when they get dry may cause a variance that can also be interpreted as floors climbed.
@bfill1985 Thank you for the suggestions!

Alvaro, thank you for the tips..
How do I make sure that the altimeter port is not blocked ?
Where is it located, and is there any way to clean it, without damaging anything ?
Also, another issue I had just yesterday with my surge :
Went to the gym for my workout on the elliptical, set elliptical on the surge, and it would show 91 bpm heartrate all the time... Had to completely shut it down, after that, it worked normally.
And it shows no heartrate for that period of time in the activity log.

I use my Surge whilst playing squash, set exercise to tennis. It works well enough, but a proper squash setting would be more accurate (I think the calories calculated are a bit on the low side for squash).
