Really depends on a few things. Do you get a lot of notifications? Do you have all day sync on?

 

Mine lasts 4 days and its old about 2 years old

About five-six days for me (I don't use GPS much and manual sync)

more detail on how to lengthen battery life.

I always wait for my Surge to tell me when its hungry, a battery icon pops up when I have a half day left.

No, sorry @Diurix, no field replaceable batteries or service centers presently available for fitbit products. You might make a suggestion under the "feature suggestions" category - definitely a terrific idea to have a service center to forward expired units to, I'd vote for it!
