Before my battery notification icon would only show when it was low and when I was charging.  Now it is on all the time, always showing that it is fully charged (when it is not) at also showing a plus (+) sign.  Not sure what that is.

Hi @TeddieMao it is a pleasure to have you again with us in the Fitbit community. Let me inform you that this is an issue that is affecting several users. However good news! Our support team is already informed about this and they are actively working to find a solution as soon as possible. I know it can be frustrating but please bear with this just a little bit Smiley Wink. In the mean time, remember that your battery should last in between 5 to 7 days with normal use. It would be awesome if you could share a screenshot of what you see.

Hope this information helps! Smiley Happy

I am seeing the same issue. I will try re-charging and see if that fixes it.

A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community @jimco! Thanks for posting you inquiry here. Why don't you perform the restart on your Surge too. Then try to sync with your Account. As @CarlosMo said the battery life of your Surge, should last in between 5 to 7 days with normal use. If you're using it to track GPS activities it might less time. Smiley Wink

Remember that you have the option to contact one of our Fitbit representative to check this issue with you, as they have special tools to help you out. You can check also some tips in this post that can help the battery life of your Fitbit Surge! Heart
