On your Dashboard click on the gear go to settings. Scroll down until you see the time zone and change it there. It must sync before it takes place

I hope you're doing great @BirDie58! Following the steps that @WendyB suggested should do the trick! In case that you're having issues with your watch too often take in count that your Surge will update the time with every synchronization, that's why you need to sync your Surge at least once a week. 
You will see the last sync information on your Fitbit App > Acount > Surge at the top. If you're traveling and your time doesn't update check the tips in this post.
