Hi, please help!
Trying to set up my new Surge and keep getting error codes connecting to bluetooth. Error code 24? Is this a fault with my Surge? How can i fix this as the fitbit screen is still displaying the configuration set-up screen. 😞

I got a new fitbit Surge, and had same error and issue too. Tried hours to fix as per other users suggestions. Still doesn't work. Anyone can help please.

May I ask a very simple question please. Could the above posts be edited to include the device the error code is being displayed on.. Unless the error really is on the Surge itself as the posts imply.

I’m having the same issue!! I got a new Surge for my birthday and I’m so excited to use it... but I’m unable to set up. It will give me the code to connect to the app and then I get error 24. And then when I return to the app it shows the surge and tells me to update the tracker and when I try and do that it gives me error 8. My Surge still has the configuration screen on it as well. Help!

Yes I had same error messages. Error 24 when cannot pair with my iphone, and Error 8 later.

Just an update for me: I troubleshooted with a FitBit rep and turns out there is no FitBit currently compatible with iPhone 8 or later, I just got an iPhone 8. Kindof hard to believe that they don’t have the ability to work with the newest iPhones... very disappointing

Thanks for the update. However, I am still on my iPhone 7 Plus. Error 24 n Error 8 keep popping up. It is really frustrating...

Same issue. Too bad fitbit doesn’t monitor this sight so they could provide the help

You need to update your surges on a PC, they almost never update on the phone app. Be sure they're completely removed from your phones including Bluetooth, then install and update them through a PC using the Fitbit Bluetooth dongle and PC app. When you're done be sure and remove the dongle.
Then you can try and add them back to your phones.
Personally I just sync to the PC because the Android mobile app has never worked right 😞
I've heard the iPhone app works better though.

Hi,
I received a replacement Surge, as the battery life on my other one no longer held up. My replacement is not allowing me to set it up and is giving me the error "The operation couldn't be completed. FBBluetoothErrorDomain error 24." I have also gotten the same message with error 8.
I have tried EVERYTHING. Forgetting my old surge, forgetting the surge bluetooth connection, app update, software update, powering down, restarting my device, etc. Please help. I've been a Fitbit supporter for 4 years now and this will be my 4th device. Thanks in advance!

I've done this - it doesn't work. Same issues and error codes, or just a general error on the Mac. I troubleshooted for hours with two different Fitbit reps and they're clueless about this issue. Help!
