Fitbit Surge and Sunscreen

The inside band of my Fitbit Surge is deteroriating.  The rubber is deformed.  I think it's reacting to sunscreen.  I wear CVS Pharmacy SPF 70 Broad Spectrum Sun Lotion.  I have two concerns.  First, that the band is not resistent to sunscreen.  Second, that the band is not user-replaceable.  I've never had this happen to me with any watch band I've worn in the past.  My Fitbit is less than three-months old.Fitbit Surge Band deteriorating

@DougLourey Welcome to our Community! I don't think the sun lotion should affect the band. As for your second question the band isn't replaceable but please contact our Support Team for assistance in this matter. I am sure they will work with you to find a solution.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for your reply.
Fitbit is replacing my Surge.
If not Sunscreen, then what could it be? The inside edges are melting,
and sunscreen, soap and water are the only things I apply to my arms.
I can't imagine that my perspiration could cause this damage, but I can
imagine that the material used to make the band did not undergo testing.
