I just received a replacement for my surge. The original wasn't charging anymore. I charged the Fitbit via USB and synched. I have the software on my computer and the app on my phone. The device still shows a computer icon and says "let's get started, www.fitbit.com/setup"
It is already setup. Not sure what to do to get the watch to start displaying steps, calories etc.

It's nice to have you here @bruceg! I'd try restarting your Fitbit Surge. Once you have done that, you can try setting it up as new device one more time. That should remove the let's get started..." message you're getting on its screen.

Mine did the same thing as when I was setting it up via computer the update didn't finish. The surge was connected to my account via computer and mobile phone but it only had the "lets get started" on the screen however on the dashboard it said there was an update available, once I updated the device it worked fine. Hope this helps.
