Fitbit losing steps?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, I know this has been posted about repeated times but I have tried the solutions to no avail - my fitbit is losing steps. I'll look at it and it'll be at a certain number, then it resyncs and gives me a lower number. Not sure why this is happening - is anyone able to give a definitve answer? Thank you!

Only one!

Had read that that could be a problem, I did change device (my old fitbit broke) - but the old one isn't on my account anymore.

@LogicalHarm Welcome to our Community! Try restarting your tracker by doing the following:

1.- Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

Also make sure that you aren't logging any activities that may remove the ones recorded by your tracker. Another thing to consider is that you need to sync your tracker daily if not then it may lose the correct time and the next time you sync it may add those steps to a different date.

Let me know how it goes!
