My fitbit surge informed me at aroung 5pm I had hit 10,000 steps, When I checked the dashboard today it only shows a little over 6,000. I know before bed I was around 11,120. Why does the dashboard show different?

@RaquelH Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! What my friend @Nolander said is totally correct. In addition to that, if the issue persists, I recommend restarting your Surge and force sync it one more time so the information can be transferred to your Dashboard completely.

Keep @Nolander and me posted on the outcome my friend! Smiley Happy

The dashboard will only show the information since your last sync. I bet if you sync your Surge with the app or computer the steps will be accurate.

I have noticed that my Surge will show, say, 18104 steps at 1159 pm but when it syncs will go to 18041. This happens regularly. Also, when I start walking it doesn't register right away but it seems to catch up. This Is problematic when I am at the end of my goal. And, when I sync, it at times subtracts steps that I make up but then adds them in later. I miss goals by this. Any suggestions. My warranty runs out soon.

@ppalmeraz Thanks for joining us in this thread! Sounds weird that your Surge misses steps when you sync it. I'd like you to try restarting your tracker. In order to do so, take a look at Meylin's post and after this test your Surge's behavior and check out if the issue got fixed.

Let me know how it goes my friend! Smiley Happy
