Heart Rate-Surge

You need to have an option for a fixed , large character screen that displays heart rate all the time.  When on a bike , running etc... people want to quickly read their heart rate without pressing buttons, scrolling or trying to read the tiny feed on the bottom of the screen.  Truly amazing that Fitbit is not connected to one of the  main reasons people buy this product. If you're working out and serious about it, you want to watch your heart rate. Seems like a simple software fix.

Also it's puzzling how inaccurate the heart rate is during a hard workout.  I have compared to a chest strap HRM and the difference can be up to 30 BPM high on the Surge.  I can't constantly reposition the Surge when on a bike or running.  I now use my old chest strap HRM when doing cardio.  Surge seems ok when doing a less active workout like machines or weights.

I specifically got the Surge for working out so these 2 flaws are huge for me.  I thought Fitbit was all about fitness.  10,000 steps a day is not a fit lifestyle for many............

I would argue for a highly active person, the heart rate should NOT be used for any guidance regarding how to continue exercising the body.  Why?  Because heart rate varies widely from one individual to the next, and even for one individual performing a specific exercise at an apparently similar level of exertion over the course of several exercise sessions.

I would further argue paying attention to breathing is a far more accurate way of determining how to continue with a workout.
