Yesterday and today, my Surge started to over count flights of stairs. Yesterday I logged over 400 flights and today I exceeded 520. I typically record between 50 and 120 flights per day, and did nothing out of the ordinary. I reset the device this morning and am still logging excessive flights. Any advice?

Possibly you were climbing while the atmospheric pressure was also falling. This would add "phantom" flights..I went for a long walk right after a big storm and my surge recorded over 25 flights over a course that normally registers 1 or 2 max. Emujo

Thanks for jumping in @Emujo! Hey there @SunsetRunner!
That's sounds like a lot. As @Emujo mentioned, floors are tracked by an altimeter, which is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure, you'll get floors based on the elevation your trackers senses. Being said that, weather change can occasionally cause your tracker to register an extra floor or two, for example as a gust of wind, if you're too close to AC, drive a car with open window, etc.
This happened to me a couple of days ago, it was very windy and it tracked some floors I attacked the picture, maybe the same happended to you.
If you take a look to your Dashboard online you will see exactly at what time you're getting extra floors, so we can have a clue of what happened in your case.
Keep me posted on the resolution.

Thanks for the input. I was at a concert Tuesday night and did not leave my seating area. I recorded over 60 flights in a 3.5 hour period. This morning it recorded 18 flights during 30 minutes on an elliptical. However, it seems to have calmed down now, as I am only at 70 flights for the day. Again, thanks.

Hi @SunsetRunner! You're very welcome! I hope you've had a good time at the concert, lucky you! Now, have you checked in the computer if you got the extra fights at that time or during the day, same thing with the gym information. Was it too windy that day? Where you need to the AC on the gym?
Having a few of extra floors is common but I think that 70 is still very high. Would you mind restarting your tracker a couple of times and cleaning the altimeter on the back of your Surge with a soft-bristled toothbrush.
Let me know how it goes!
