Hi my Fitbit Surge has recorded 15299 steps when in reality I had only done 37. It has sent both these figures to my phone app. I have reset Fitbit and phone, removed the device from Bluetooth pairing and paired again, and still the same figures

please help

Is the Fitbit is near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.

You can enter a driving record to get rid of them

No I switched it off over night, turned it on, walked 37 steps and it had 15299.

I tried to to remove the steps overage with the solution you gave, but this has not worked. The overage of steps has only logged as the total and a total for distance, the activity logged and distance logged on the graphs and listings are correct without the overage (it's logged different figures in different areas).

Also, I have just noticed it has logged steps in the future . The clocks went back an hour here (uk) do you think that's may have affected it? It hasn't happened before when the time changed

You might just need a new fitbit, if that doesn't work it is probably Becuase of the tine zones.
