New Surge not syncing

Hi.

My husband offered me a surge (instead of the Samsung gear fit he owns as I asked...) thinking it is a better deal. Problem is... I haven't started using it because it won't sync. The phone (galaxy s6 Edge) is correctly paired and connected. But when I try syncing, it just goes round and round and stops, showing the day I first started the surge as last sync. And when I press the home button, it wouldn't switch between clock and menu as expected. It just stays stuck on menu. Can anyone help before I make my husband pay for this? His gear fit seemed much simpler to use despite offering far less than the surge. Thanks!

Congrats for you new Surge! I know you will love once we make it work. I think that your Surge got stuck at the end of the process when you pair it, so please follow these instructions with your 

galaxy s6 Edge. Just make sure that your phone and Fitbit App are up to date first.
