I've had my surge for about four months, this is the third occasion that the actual time is off by about half an hour.can't get it to reset, don't know what to do.

Hello @Steve19509,

Welcome to the community!

Is there any chance that you recently expired the battery on your Surge?  If so, just sync.

I hope this helps.

@Steve19509,

Sorry, I was a bit terse in my response.  The explanation is that Fitbits are like wall clocks.  They keep time while they're powered and stop when they lose charge.  When you charge them back up, they continue keeping time right where they left off.

If you have completely depleted the battery, when once you finished charging it, you should sync to make sure you have the right time... and that you get credit for your steps at the appropriate time.
