One plus 2 and surge connection issue

So I've read loads of comments about fitbit surge not working with one plus 2 and wondered if any of these had been resolved? And if it has how do I get my surge to connect to my oneplus 2 please help as I really live this watch and don't want to have to sell.

One Plus phones use an o/s "based" on Android. For that reason, it is unlikely that Fitbit will ever "officially" support it as there are too many variables in what One Plus does to "tweak" the o/s. It may work, but it is not guaranteed.
