I have bought a new Fitbit and I’m passing my old one to my Dad. The watch will not connect to my Dad’s app. Any help appreciated?

Were you (and more importantly your phone) around when your dad tried the setup? I'm wondering if it still has a bluetooth connection that's blocking connection from your dad's app.
