Play button and skip button doesn't work for music

I just recently got my Fitbit and I set up the Bluetooth and the music and started playing some music to test it out. the pause button works but when I tried to play it again or skip to the next song it wouldn't let me. Any help?

Welcome to the Community @isa28. If the music control feature is not working, I recommend Restarting your Surge by following @MeylinP's instructions. To pause or skip songs please confirm you are following these steps:


1. Open a music app on your mobile device and begin playback.
2. Double-press the Home button on your Surge to display the music control screen, where you can see information about the track currently playing. You can pause playback or skip to the next track. Note that not all music apps broadcast track information, which means the song title won't appear on your Surge. You can still pause or skip to the next track.

3. Press the Home button to return to the previous display.
