Replacement Surge - What to do with replaced fitbit?

I received a new Surge through warranty because my bands were starting to break at the screws on my old Surge. My question is, do I need to return the old one or can it be kept and sycned with a different phone and used still?

It is in good shape beside the bands just starting to come apart.

Thanks!

You can recycle it, throw it away or whatever you want. I'm surprised as well that wendy did not suggest a restart to that one again

You can still use the old one. Just use a different email address to set it back up

I used super glue around the broken band near the screws, left it to dry for a day and it is now fine, gave it to a friend.

I was wondering how you got a replacement without sending it back.  My started peeling and I called and they emailed me a fedex slip to print and take to fedex to return.  Problem is I don't have a printer and I don't have time to go to fedex, so I couldn't get it returned. When I explained I work 2 jobs and didn't have time to run around looking for a fedex, they still insisted I had to return it before they could replace it and gave me no other options that were convenient for me.   Now it is about to fall off my arm.

I used Live chat, explained my strap had snapped by the screws, they asked a bunch of standard questions about where I bought it and when and they arranged shipment then and there. The home button on my first replacement did not work, so again on Live chat they asked me to sync on a USB port confirmed the button was indeed broken and shipped a third there and then. Which is now on my arm and so far so good.

I live in Europe (Spain), the standard warranty there is 2 years, nothing to do with Fitbit, just the law here. In the States it is different, perhaps the warranty there is not as generous as far as immediate replacement shipping?
