I would think weights would be the closest estimate... give it a try and see if the calories seem reasonable!

Are you sure that original estimate was accurate? A lot of calculators seem to include calories burned as part of BMR in with the calories burned for the exercise, which AFAIK Fitbit does not in the amount burned by the exercise itself.
