I've had my Surge since it was released almost 2 years ago, and on the whole it's been a good product.
Does anyone know if there is going to be some kind of successor to the Surge to be released in the coming months?
Can Fitbit advise if anything is being worked on? Or is any Joe Public aware of rumour etc? I know there is the Blaze available but I don't see this as a successor given it has no built in GPS, which is important to me as I don't like to be forced to take my phone out with me when I go for a run.
Given my watch is nearly 2 years old and it's getting towards the end of its lifespan, I'd be interested know if there are any products with built in GPS in Fitbit's pipeline that I should hang on for, otherwise I think I'll have to treat myself to a Garmin...

They never let you know until its released. But I would not be surprised if they are working on something

Hope you are doing great and enjoying some healthy activities @bfill1985. Thank you @WendyB for jumping in! She is right @bfill1985, usually we find out about new products and features once the product has being released. I haven't heard anything about it yet, but we can wait for Fitbit to surprise us with that information maybe in a nearby future.
Fitbit Surge is the only tracker with built-in GPS, as you know Fitbit Blaze and Charge 2 use the GPS of your phone, sorry they don't work for you. I would recommend stay tuned, if a new release is ready in the future, Fitbit will let you know in the official website or you will see the post here in the Forums!
Keep up the super stepping!

I've had my Surge for a bit more than a year now and am mostly happy with the unit. I have had to get three replacements sent out due to bubbling and peeling bands, but Fitbit's customer care has always be very friendly and helpful. It makes all the difference.
It would be great to see a successor to the Surge this year as I like the Fitbit ecosystem; preferably a tracker that is fully waterproof, has replaceable straps, a swimming function, and some more advanced running features. At least that's my wishlist!
Garmin's Forerunner 735XT might be suitable replacement when the time comes if there's nothing from Fitbit by then.

Nice to see you around @pedris! It sounds like a fantastic idea.
As you there are some other users that will like to see those features integrated in your trackers: Waterproof and New Wristbands for Fitbit Surge. Those are really good examples. Add your votes and comments there.
The more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. Implementing enhancements to Fitbit trackers and services take time. It takes time as our devs and engineers have to be double sure that this will properly work. But we're always trying to give a better experience to our users!
Stay tuned!
