Surge Home button not working

It doesn't take me to the menu.  It doesn't take me anywhere.  I tried the change clock face trick, but it did not help.  I've tried the trick on my cell phone using the mobile app, and here at the website.  My Surge battery died over the holidays and I recharged but the Home button has not worked since.

Does that mean you can't do a reset?

Held the left(home), and the lower right(select) buttons down for 12 seconds.  Let go and screen turned off. Waited ten seconds and pressed the home button to turn on.  Reset is complete.  Then pressed the home button to get to menu.  Nothing happened.
