Surge battery drains very quickly when sync'd to android phone

I have an iphone 5s (work) and recently purchased a samsung galaxy s7. Until now i have used the iphone and the surge battery usually lasts for 5-7 days or so (depending on activity).

Switching to the android phone though, and the battery was low after 1 day. I tried the following on the android phone:

1. having bluetooth off until I wanted to sync (no difference)

2. having bluetooth on all the time (I wasn't sure if the watch was 'trying' to sync all the time).

Note in both cases I had the 'continuous sync' feature turned off. At any rate, these settings are on the watch side, not the phone.

I have switched by to the iphone now, and the battery life is as it was before.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Or issues with the android app?

Thanks

Malcolm

Nice to see you here @SunsetRunner, It's very odd the way that your Surge is behaving when is connected with your Galaxy S7, as far as I know it should be working in the same way, trying to disconnect "Bluetooth" or turning off "All day Sync", should be saving a lot of energy from your Surge. I'd recommend to restart your tracker and "Log out" from the App on your IOS phone and keep syncing with your Samsung  for the rest of the week. Smiley Embarassed

Check that the Fitbit App is up to date and sync it regularly. If you continue having issues contact Customer Support for a deeper investigation. Smiley Happy

In your case @Panchita18, try the information provided in this post and also restart your tracker, it should do the trick. Smiley Wink

I am having a similar issue. I have an android and my surge battery (from day 1) would only last at most 3 days. I usually try to charge it every other day just so it doesn't die on me. However, recently (I have only had my surge for 4 months) the battery doesn't hold for more than a day. I charged it last night, put it on before I went to bed (checked it before I removed it from the charger and it said it was fully charged) and now this morning (10 hours later) it says it has no battery. It's still on at this moment, but I'm scared it's going to die on me.

Does anyone know if the surge batteries are not lasting or is it a unique problem to my device.

Thanks!
