Switching between different exercises

During the last six days, I have been on the elliptical machine for about 35 minutes, wiped the machine down for about two minutes, then used the exercise bike for 15-20 minutes. My Surge correctly records the elliptical, but the Dashboard didn't show any stats at all for the bike except that on one of those days I got credit for walking instead of biking. I've definitely been in my cardio zone while biking, and I've been relying on the Surge to autosense whatever exercise I have been doing. When I'm home using my Air Assault bike and exercise twice a day separated by a few hours, the Surge usually, but not always, gets the right data to the Dashboard. Thanks.

@Pulcher A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Surge didn't recognize your biking exercise. I'd like to know if you used a stationary bike or a regular bike. If you used a stationary bike, take a look at Rich_Laue's post, who explains well how this activity works on your Surge.

That answers my question and I sort of discovered the spinning solution when I was on the stationary bike a few days back.

Thanks.
