Hi, I am having a problem changing the time on my surge. I have tried all the usual solutions suggested on this forum - nothing is working. The app advanced settings won't change from my home time zone to the time zone of the country I am now in - it switches over but as soon as I return to the dashboard to sync it defaults back to my home time zone. Help!

Thanks for stopping by guys @ELF48, welcome! Hum! That's strange. Have you tried the suggestions in this post. I would like to know which country and Time Zone you're in and which is your home Time Zone too. We need to fix this! ![]()
I'll be around!

Best AnswerHi!
I'm having the same problem with not being able to change the time zone in my Fitbit app. The time zone in advanced settings is set to London where I was recently ( I am currently in Canada where I am based). Consequently, my Surge time is 7 hours out. Every time I try to change the time zone in advanced settings either manually or by turning Set Automatically off and on again, it switches back to London either immediately or when I return to the dashboard. I've tried everything - all the suggested time zone work arounds, rebooting my phone, logging out of the app and closing it, removing my Surge and reinstalling it and even erasing the app and reinstalling it. I've had problems before syncing the time zone but that was solved by the usual tricks. This seems to be a software problem manifesting in the advancing settings area. Can you help?? It's a pain having a watch which doesn't read the correct time! Thanks.
Best AnswerI suggest you got to your personal settings. Delete reference to your home city, just leave it blank, change the time zone and you should be OK. I have spent over a week trying to come to terms with a watch that told the wrong time having travelled from Switzerland to Ireland. No help from Fitbit so I went to the blog and there I found the solution from someone far brighter than me. It is a shame that Fitbit can't get their act together.

Thanks for taking a break from stepping @ELF48, @Sc47 and @Pelekas! If you're having issues changing your Time Zone, as @Pelekas mentioned you can go to your Fitbit.com Dashboard on your computer or on your phone browser, click on Settings > Personal Info > Country (select country) > City (leave it in black) > Submit.
Apparently, this is a bug in the Account, Fitbit is aware of the issue and is working on a solution. ![]()
Let me know how this works for you! ![]()

Thank you, Yojana. This is clearly an issue for many users who are travellers, thus, I'd hope you get to fix the bug without delay as it does not reflect well on your products.

@Pelekas Please try to do it again to see if you have the option to change it now.

Best AnswerThis is the only solution/work around that I found works. I've tried all other suggestions on this board but deleting home city does the trick. Hopefully a bug fix coming soon
