I noticed that the list of available exercises to add to the Fitbit device often measure the same items... time, heart rate, sometimes steps, sometimes pace, sometimes average pace, etc.
Is there a list of exercises and what items each one shows on the device?
For example:
"Elliptical" shows time, cals, heartrate, clock, distance, and steps.
"Stairclimber" shows time, cals, heartrate, clock, distance, steps.
...so why would I include both of them as shortcuts (wasting an available slot that I could use for, e.g., tennis) when they display the same things?!?
"Spinning" shows time, cals, heartrate, and clock (no distance or steps).
"Golf" shows time, miles, --/mi, clock, steps, calories, heartrate, avg pace, pace, AND GPS.
So... is there a list which displays which of these are tracked with which exercise? And what is the difference whether I choose "Elliptical" or "Stairclimber" when they display the same thing?

Hi there @j0llyr0ger, welcome aboard to our Fitbit Community. This is a good question, although so far there is not available an official list of what type of stats has each exercise shortcut.
However this is easy to simply in exercises base on GPS and non-GPS activities. All activities that are GPS based it will show more details as average pace to give you an example.
About the difference in each exercise category, I would say it does not change too much as for how accurate it will be to read that particular exercise. There are certain activities that due to its nature it will be ore hard for your tracker to read but overall your tracker will always be reading your exercises in the same way, and as I mentioned before it will add other details if you use along the GPS feature. This is more to identify the exercise at the moment it has synced on your Dashboard.
See you around and let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks, Roberto. It's more a choice of choosing the exercise which provides me the most useful information on the display rather than accurately logging which exercise I am participating in.
For example, for the non-GPS exercises, I have found that the elliptical exercise provides the most amount of information (heartrate, steps, etc.). The workout or yoga exercises in my opinion are useless as they *should* provide the data that is in the elliptical exercise, but they do not. Thus, I will be logging all my exercises as elliptical (or tennis according to the same logic), even when I'm working out or doing yoga.
It would be nice if someone has the time to create a list of which exercises provide which features on the fitbit device.

Hey @j0llyr0ger, I hope you are doing great and enjoying some healthy activities.
I also think that is a good idea to have a list of the stats shown in each activity so our users can select the best shortcut. My suggestion is to create a suggestion in our Feature Suggestion board so our engineers team can take this into consideration in the next updates.
Additionally, it could be a good idea to share this suggestion to your friends to have more votes on it.
I'll be around if you have questions!
