It's great to have you as a new member of our Community @nort, welcome! I'll be happy to hep you with this. If you already sync your tracker, your Fitbit Surge should be changing the time automatically with your phone. If it didn't change the time, please check if the Fitbit App has the Automatic Time Zone option turn on. To do so, take your phone and open the Fitbit App > Tap on Account > tap on "Advance Settings"  > and turn on "Automatic Time Zone".

  • Check that your phone has the Automatic Time zone on:

1. Double tap the home button on your iOS device. Your open apps will show on your device's screen.
2. Close the Fitbit app by swiping the app image in an upward motion.
3. Open the Settings app from your iPhone home screen.
4. Tap "General."
5. Tap "Date & Time."
6. Ensure that "Set Automatically" is ON.
7. Reopen the Fitbit app. The issue should now be resolved.

  • Also restart you phone and Fitbit Surge to make sure that is not a hardware issue.
  • If the "Automatic Time Zone" is not changing try these steps that some users tried a couple of months ago in regards of this issue.
