Congrats on your new Surge! If you're having issues with your Surge to connect it for the first time, please restart it a couple of times and follow these recommendations to pair your Surge again via computer using built-in Bluetooth. In some cases using the computer via Dongle can work in a better way, just remember to turn off the Bluetooth in the computer if the case applies.
You can also use a compatible mobile device if you have one!

I'm having the same problem. I got a replacement Surge last week and have tried everything described in the forum. No luck. So I have a dysfunctional Surge that's only 6 months old (can't handle sweat and humidity), as well as a new replacement a Surge that I can't get to work. I can't get past the set up screen on the Surge. I can't update the tracker software using my phone or my computer.

Sorry about what happened with your replacement. I'd like to know what model of phone you have and if you're getting an specific error while trying to update the tracker. Remember that you have the option to report back this issue using the same information from your replacement.
