my Fitbit Surge won't start on the run phase - button not work

Just about to go for a run and I swipe to run phase and try and press the button but it won't start?

Hiya I've tried that but still no joy - frustrating as I've just changed from Garmin Vivosmart and I never had problem, but my first run that I want to do with this Surge and it won't start. I've asked a colleague of mine who has one who made me convert and he thinks the button has broke. I'm in the British Army and I'm a physical training instructor so the need to use the device is key. Can you suggest anything else as I may go back to my old Garmin.
