Welcome to the Forums @cyberdan!
I have moved your post over to the Third-Party Integrations board as it is better suited for your question.
As for the exporting to Strava, I have looked around but I couldn't see any user talking about it. Hopefully someone will reply about it.
In the meantime, maybe you could post a Feature Suggestion about it. Other users could then comment and vote on your idea to show their support. You can read more about that board on its FAQ.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
cyberdan,
I use the Ionic and had no troubles setting up the link between the Fitbit and Strava I do not import anything, the apps work together and when I sync my Fitbit the workout shows in Strava. That is as long as it is GPS tracked. It I do a treadmill or stationary bike it will not import. I have to manually add that in Strava.
Best AnswerThanks for your suggestion.
I'd like to make past data from the Charge HR visible in Strava app, which does not seem possible.
Yours is a solution specifically for the Ionic, might be that the newer generation trackers are able to sync with Strava.
What @Tbottorf does will work with any tracker for future events, provided that the GPS is used.
@cyberdan your asking about past events that have already been recorded. Right now your best choice is to vote.
Just a note if this is solved. only past events with a map displayed will be able to be transferred.
Best AnswerExactly, this is intended to export past history.
Unfortunately the Charge HR doesn't track GPS.

Hello @Rich_Laue, @cyberdan and @Tbottorf.
Thanks for the clarification and for sharing your thoughts.
If you do create a suggestion post about this, be sure to post the link to it in here so that other users coming into this topic can see the link and go support the idea.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you all with.
Best AnswerNew User, supposedly you can create a tcx file. I didn't realize it wouldn't go into strava.
Having trouble getting the information out of fitbit at the moment. They are 'working on it'.
Best AnswerFitbit only allows the export of XLS or CVS files, yet try converting them to TCX! Doesn't work.
Yes I could export activity by activity, but that's pointless when you try to sync three years, including sleep data...
Looks like Fitbit has no interest in users using other platforms.

Hey there everyone and thanks for your feedback @cyberdan. Let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community.
I would like to clarify some details here. It is true that you can export XLS or CSV files from your Fitbit Dashboard. However you can also export GPS data to a Training Center XML (TCX) file. TCX files display GPS data as activities and track heart rate, calories, and other data.
You can upload TCX files to applications including Strava and Google Earth.
To export GPS data:
See you later fellows, hope this helps.

Hello @SunsetRunner.
Glad to read that it did work out for you in the end!
If you have the time, be sure to visit one of our Discussion boards. Lots of different topics to talk about with other users in there.

Best AnswerHello @jessatkinsfit at what step of @RobertoME's instructions does that failure occur and do you heart any error message that could be passed on?
I'm not sure if this was resolved but here is my solution.
For some reason the last 2 activities weren't sync from the Fitbit App to Strava.
Here is what you can do:
1. Log into Fitbit and look for the Exercise you want to import. It has to be a GPS tracked exercise.
2. Once in Fitbit.com look in the right corner the 3 dots button of the map activity and you'll find an option to export TCX file.
3. Once with this file you need to go back in Strava.com/upload and load the file.
Best AnswerWere you able to do this on your mobile device, or did you have to use an actual computer? I’ve been trying to follow these steps on my iPhone, but I cannot find the .tcx file once I export it from Fitbit.
