Hello @Susie8975, at the moment this is not a supported third party app. For more information about supported apps you can visit: https://www.fitbit.com/partnership.
In this case many of the third party apps are not developed from our end and we don't have control of which information is shared across the platforms. This is developed by the third party service who use our open API.
I went ahead to investigate a little about FatSecret, but there is no workaround for a native support with your Fitbit account. If you are interest on this topic, the following thread might be of your interest: Can I export nutritional information from Fat Secret App?.
Also for additional information for future plans to integrate this app, I recommend to approach FatSecrete support team.
Thank you for your comments and let me know if you have additional questions.

I too would like to request this be added to the list of future apps to integrate. I asked about this app at least a year ago, and I suppose that this was not something that was important to follow up with then, but now it seems is gaining more requests.
The app itself in my honest opinion far outdoes the functions of other popular nutrition trackers, so I see no reason why it should not be added to a fitness tracker as well.

Hello @wswelty, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. Indeed, I've seen an increased of popularity of FatSecret. It would be interesting to see what are the plans of FatSecret in the future.
So far I don't have information of future plans related to Fatsecret to be integrated to Fitbit. Although as I mentioned before, the majority of third party integrations are not developed by our initiative, so it's hard to concluded with a definitive answer regarding a future integration.
For more updates check our partnership page: https://www.fitbit.com/partnership.
Thank you for sharing with us your thoughts and stay tuned to our Fitbit Community.

Fitbit - Stop being silly and please get Fat Secret synced up, just buy the app already. Or please put a team to work on your own, more comprehensive, diet calendar. What good is it to be able to measure calorie output to the n-th degree if you ignore calorie input, right?

Hi @SStr, nice to see you on board in the Fitbit Community! My apologies for the late response and thank you for the feedback if you allow me; I really appreciate your honest comments regarding the integration with Fat secret.
This is what helps us to improve the Fitbit experience. However with third party integrations, Fitbit doesn't own or maintain third party integrations. It's up to the owner of the third party service to implement or update features for their app. Unless there's some sort of limitation on Fitbit's side (e.g. no Fitbit SDK), then it's safe to assume that the owner of the app is the one to contact if you're interested in seeing the integration.
Rest assure from my end I will forward your comments to our team to consider them in future plans.
See you later and feel free to share any other feedback you have.

How much longer do we need to wait for the integration of fatsecret...
They manage to get the calories but fitbit does not manage to get the food facts...
Thats too bad as the food part in fitbit is nothing to use... just awful...
Please work on this integration...
Especially in germany people like to use fatsecret - this is a good fitbit market too as they think a lot more about health then most other countries...
Please let me know when this integration will work

Yes but fitbit does not take the calories from fatsecret...
Fatsecret gets the calories from fitbit - that works - for me more important is to get the used calories in fitbit... that does not work so far 🙂

the 3rd party app that I have been using for years, FitMess by CK labs, has closed down their app stating that FatSecret and Fitbit are finally compatible effective in 12/2017, but I cannot find anywhere to add Fatsecret.
can you tell me, is this true and if so, where do I go to get the apps linked?

Disregard. I was able to add it, however, they are only taking calories out and importing them to Fat Secret... which is useless. I only use FatSecret to input my food (because your native calorie counter has very limited database)
Fitbit keeps saying that it is up to the other app provider to provide the API to sync, but you have only done your part with MyFitnessPal... for some reason, you are willing to pull caloric input from them but you are unwilling to grab this data from FatSecret.

Hello there FatSecret fellows good to see you around @SunsetRunner, @Ty-phoon and @MDThalmann. I was reading your posts after my last visit to this thread. My apologies for the late response.
@SunsetRunner thank you for your feedback about this integration.
@MDThalmann glad to hear you were able to connect your accounts. However you mentioned that FatSecret was finally compatible effective in 12/2017. I'm wondering were you saw this announcement? We have no official records that make FatSecret a supported third party app. For more details about our third party integrations supported by Fitbit visit: https://www.fitbit.com/partnership
Nevertheless for an app can sync with your Fitbit Dashboard is not mandatory to be officially supported. But just to clarify, from Fitbit's end we have not listed FatSecret among our supported third party apps, hence we do no have further details of its functionality with Fitbit or if new updates and improvements will be implemented. with MyFitnessPal this is different since is a compatible integration.
See you later and thank you for your comments.

Hi Roberto,
can you pass all this feedback to the product team and put it on the backlog and give us an estimate on a release date for this integration. A lot of us are using fatsecret to track our calorie intake, and building an integration for fitbit to pull data from fs, this would help a lot with the gadgets that track calorie deficit or calories in vs out. I am sure it cannot be that difficult, fs must be exposing some APIs for all of this.
Thanks

I love Fitbit and I love Fatsecret. I have been using both for years. Please, Please, allow food input from Fatsecret to populate in Fitbit.
