FitBit/MFP syncing issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

As of today FitBit won't read my nutrition data from MFP. This started around this afternoon. I have tried disconnecting both accounts and reconnecting, logging out and back in again on both accounts and still no luck.

Anyone else having any issues?

Welcome to the Forums @Nebulah.

thanks for bringing those details on the matter and sharing that you tried disconnecting and logging out.

In this case I'd like to recommend that you try getting in touch with MFP directly about this situation. Given that this integrations are developed by our third parties, they should be able to take a closer look at what is going on.

Feel free to let me know if there are any further questions.

I have spent hours back and forth with both Fitbit and MFP Tech Support, but they each say to contact the other. It is taking hours for my data from MFP to sync over to Fitbit.

MFP said that Fitbit handles the integration, but Fitbit Tech Support told me that MFP does. It's very frustrating, plus the fact that they both told me that nobody else seems to be having this problem.

This happened before quite a while ago, and somehow it just mysteriously began syncing correctly again without me doing anything.

It's so frustrating. Also I find that the next day it is working again, strangely.

But yeah, I found both sides were so unhelpful. I wonder if we stopped using Fitbit/MFP and switched to something more reliable maybe they would actually do something about these issues?

I don't think they really care. Apparently, there are enough people out there that are willing to put up with it.  It's very discouraging, though. I'm referring to both MFP and Fitbit.

I think what's most irritating is that they always act surprised, as if this is something they had not heard about, and I'm the only one to complain about it, but yet when I look through all the posts, many people have already contacted them both on this very same issue, and they keep telling everyone to do the same thing--unlink, relink, etc.,--which everyone says they already did and it did not work, but it just goes on and on.

@Nebulah @jachang thank you for your updates and sorry for the later reply.

I would like to know if the issue still present at the moment? Or are your activities syncing normally now? Make sure both apps are up to date and try changing the internet connect from mobile to wifi or viceversa.

Let me know how it goes.

AlvaroFitbit, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, MFP is still taking well over 8 hours to sync my food into FitBit. I had already tried on both my mobile and on my desktop, but neither method allows syncing from MFP until at least 8 hours or more has passed.  Also, it was suggested that I revoke access to MFP and also go into MFP and disconnect it from FitBit. I had already done this many time, but tried doing it again, but no, that didn't correct the problem. MFP does not sync my meals into FitBit until 8 or 12 hours has passed.
