Fitbit App Won't Connect to Facebook

I just bought my Fitbit Blaze yesterday. I created an account in the app and gave the app permission to search my Facebook list for friends. It says none of my Facebook friends use Fitbit. This is completely incorrect as I know several of my Facebook friends use Fitbit and have use the app to compete with other friends for steps.

Looks like this was an issue last year. Has it still not been resolved?

Hello @atravelinbug, it's nice to see new faces in the Fitbit Community.

 

If you choose to connect your Fitbit and Facebook accounts, see your friends who also have Fitbit accounts linked to Facebook. Invite anyone to be a Fitbit friend. This was an issue in the past but has been resolved already. You can find more details in the following post.

 

Try to revoke the access from Facebook on your Fitbit account by going to your Settings in the online Dashboard > Applications).

 

On your App, log out from your Fitbit app and restart your phone. Once your phone has initialized go to your Fitbit app and log back in and try to connect your Facebook account again from your Friend list on your Fitbit app.

Hi @RobertoME, I have tried both of the above advice, and also uninstalling the app from my samsung galaxy phone and then reinstalling it, but alas no result. On the app in the 'add friends' page, when I click on the Facebook tab, the screen loads for up to 10 minutes, and then I see the message that I don't have any Facebook friends with Fitbit.

Hello @esalisbury0613, let me start by saying it's nice to have you here in the Fitbit Community. Thank you for providing me more details, in this case was found it is a bug in the friends section of the app. When you should see your Facebook friends the behavior of the bug is either you see "No Facebook friends to add" even though friends should appear or you may see an infinite spinner.

 

Our teams are aware of this issue and are working to fix this issue as soon as possible.
