Fitbit App is not properly syncing with another app

I haven't been able to sync the two app Fitbit and MyFitnessPal for over a couple weeks now. I've tried uninstalling both of the apps. It used to work well. I am pretty sure it was after the firmware update that I started having this issue. Any idea what I can do or when this will be fixed?

@XvphilvX I hope you're doing well! Are you referring to the tracker's firmware or your phone's? The apps work independently from your tracker so updating or not a tracker won't affect these two apps. What you can do is unlink them and re-link them by doing the following:

On your MyFitnessPall account go to the apps area and remove Fitbit from it. On your Fitbit account go to the Applications area and remove MyFitnessPal. Once this is done relink both apps:

  • Log into MyFitnessPal and click Apps.
  • In the App Gallery, find Fitbit and click Connect.
  • Click Allow to give MyFitnessPal access to your Fitbit data.
  • Follow the instructions provided.

Let me know how it goes!

I have the same issue, it only imports half my meals or something... Disconnecting and reconnecting works but it just gets broken again as soon as I log more food.

@Francl27 Thanks for stopping by! It could have been an issue from MFP. Their Known issues page which was updated on May 5th states they corrected a bug in which the app would only sync once and then stopped syncing. Please update your MFP app and check if this has been resolved.

I look forward to your reply.
