Fitbit to Strava treadmill activities do not sync properly

My Fitbit to Strava sync works great for GPS syncing Fitbit Surge to Strava

But I am having an issue with Treadmill Activities on the Surge not syncing with Strava

I use Strava as my mileage/running/riding log and would like treadmill runs to show up.

When I manually add the treadmill run to my Strava Account then it syncs back to my Fitbit Account as an additional activity and adds steps to my step count that I did not do.

Hopefully somebody knows how to make this work?

I have the exact same problem. My Fitbit Blaze doesn't sync to strava only when I run on treadmill though. Running outdoors isn't a problem.
