Getting large amount of extra calories on MFP when not very active

Recently changed from a Charge to a Charge 2.  Now I am regularly being given large amounts of extra calories due to activity level - like 1000+ calories a day.  I cannot believe this is accurate, as I typically move less than 5000 steps a day.  Never had this happen with my original Charge.  Is this related to the HR function of the Charge 2?  Being quite large, my HR gets more elevated from basic movements.  I don't want my fitbit to think I'm exercising vigorously when I'm just walking or moving.  I need these extra calorie adjustments fixed.

@Lovable_Loser Check out MFP's info on negative calorie adjustment - might want to consider enabling this option.

Before posting my question, I saw that mentioned in a few of the other threads, and I've turned that on.  Will see how that helps.  I am wondering how it would though, because I'm getting too many activity calories added, not needing calories removed.  We'll see though.

Like right now I looked at my Fitbit and it says I'm in fat burning mode, and I'm sitting at my desk.  That can't be right.
