There’s been a recent change that may interrupt connectivity between Fitbit and some third party apps.
To enhance security for our users, we've upgraded from OAuth 1.0a to OAuth 2.0. OAuth 2.0 is a significant improvement from OAuth 1.0a. It gives people more control of their data and provides a new security model for distributed applications.
Apps that have not yet upgraded to OAuth 2.0 by August 1st will not be able to sync to Fitbit until they upgrade. For now, we recommend logging steps, food, weight, runs, walks, etc. directly in the Fitbit app.
