Steps overwriting when syncing activity from Strava

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I log all my activities via Strava and I want to keep doing that, but when I sync them with fitbit the actual steps get overwritten with estimated steps (usually about 500 per mile fewer)

Can I stop this happening? The heart rate data (which is probably more accurate than the fitbit) doesn't overwrite so I'm not suer why the steps would.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @gt79. It's great to have you here. I would recommend revoking the access between your Strava and Fitbit accounts and link them once again. This should settle everything up.

I have moved your post to the Third-Party Integrations board because is more related to this topic. Thanks for stopping by, see you around. Cat Very Happy

Thanks. I have done that so will see if it works correctly after my next activity.

I am running into the same issue.  Did the revoking/re-granting of permissions work?

Yes it did work, but I've just noticed the same thing happening again, so will be trying it again.

I recently tried this solution to no avail. I decided to just revoke access. I guess I am too leaderboard conscious.
