Whatsapp notification setting lost after phone reboot

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi Guys,

I've found that my Whatsapp notification settings are lost after a reboot of my phone. I want to receive SMS and Whatsapp messages on my Blaze so I have ticked 'Messages' under 'Text Notifications' and 'Whatsapp' under 'App Notifications'. After a phone reboot, 'Whatsapp' is no longer ticked under 'App Notifications'. This happens everytime I reboot my phone or the battery runs flat.

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S6

Android version: 6.0.1

Fitbit app version: 2.37(2183057)

Blaze firmware: 17.8.301.7

Text Notifications: Messages

App Notifications: Whatsapp

Welcome to the Community @brenboy. Have you tried to log out and log back in to your account? If you haven't, I recommend doing this. Also since Android devices are the ones that have these options, you can follow @MarreFitbit's instructions in the My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app) post.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

Hi Alejandra,

My problem is different to the steps in the post you referenced.

This is a bug.

If I swap the settings around i.e. 'Messages' is set to 'Whatsapp' and 'Text Notifications' is ticked under 'App Notifications', after a phone reboot 'Text Notifications' is no longer ticked under 'App Notifications'.

i.e. Whatever messaging application is ticked in 'App Notifications', after a reboot it is unticked.

Logging in and out of my account makes no difference.
