When are we getting IFTTT integration?

I would really like to be able to do some neat things with my fitbit by automating different tasks, and even using the Fitbit vibration as a trigger response. Any news on when it will be integrated with If this then That? or similar service?

We haven't yet announced any IFTTT development, but you might check out the conversation on our Idea Board:

Oh yes. This would be the best thing ever. The Jawbone UP is there.

There are lots of very neat things you can do with ifttt. Please strongly consider it.

Anyone interested in IFTTT should check out today's Fitbit Blog post on the subject, located here.

You'll find the Fitbit IFTTT channel here.

This is how I learned about IFTTT, but I can't activate Fitbit as an IFTTT channel because I keep getting an internal server error from Fitbit. Any chance this will be fixed soon?

@acreech I'm excited for you to start enjoying IFTTT, and am glad that you found it via Fitbit!

Are you still encountering this error? If so, please try clearing your browser cache and trying again. If hte problem persists, the following details would help us troubleshoot:

  • Which browser do you use?
  • Which operating system do you use?
  • What does the error say, exactly?
  • What did you do just before receiving the error?

I went through the process of activating the FitBit channel in IFTTT. I logged in with my FitBit account, and then got the error I mentioned before. Every time I tried after that (already logged in, according to the app), it would tell me that the page no longer existed and give me the option to to to FitBit.com, where I received another error. That is what happened again just now. However, this time I noticed I could log out, which I did, and after logging in again, it actually activated the channel instead of giving me an error message.

I'm assuming something was broken on the FitBit servers when I first tried.

I second this error. Clearing caches has nothing to do with it. Either via the web or the IFTT app, I get the login screen and the prompt to "allow" IFTT and then a wait and then a window that reads "Internal Server Error." I tweeted you guys about it too. It's been several days since you posted in the subject in this thread, can we get a response please?

@acreech @Lztybrn I'm not able to reproduce the error you've described - the service does appear to be working. Can you let me know if you're still having problems? If so, please let me know your browser and OS, so I can relay those details to our team to investigate.

Sorry for the trouble!

The problem persisted until around 11:45 this morning. Suddenly I was able to activate the channel.

I am currently having the same trouble. I have tried from Chrome, Microsft Edge, and Firefox running Windows 10, and also from Safari on my iphone 6+. Is this something that will work itself out?

I get the internal error, then hit the back button, and this is on my page.

Uh-Oh...

This page is no longer valid. It looks like you provided an invalid token or someone already used the token you provided. Please return to the site or application which sent you to this page and try again.

I use the ifttt app, have had no problems. As for your uh oh, this is usually caused by a script and your refresh, the script did not get the proper input.
