Why encourage votes for Google Fit integration when it will never happen?

Why do Fitbit moderators and company representatives encourage users to "vote for the Google Fit integration" and try to create the impression that Fitbit is open to making this happen - when clearly you are not. Why not just be honest and put out an announcement to say that Fitbit does not intend to integrate with Google Fit and never has? It makes you look shady and leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

If you search the 3rd Party App category for "Google Fit" over 450 results are returned. Each of these have dozens, some thousands of votes. If you were tally the requests from Fitbit users you would have an absolute mountain of votes. You do not need to encourage more people to vote when clearly there is an overwhelming request from your user base already.

Hello @Jonnoprice, good  to see you around and thank you for your great feedback. I'm sorry for giving you a late response and thank you for calling this out.

Not that this is not the intention to suggest keep voting for an idea or suggestions like Google Fit. Note that votes allow our product team to know and keep track of the popularity of these ideas. However in some scenarios are not possible to implement or may take longer depending of the the priorities that has been planned ahead.

I'm sure you have seen this, however we updated the idea for this integration the last year regarding a future integration with Google Fit, letting know our users this is not currently planned for the time being. For more details, please refer to the Feature Suggestion: Integration with Google Fit.

See you later and thank you again for your feedback.
