Withings change to Oauth 2.0 Nokia / Withings Healthmate

Hi

I cannot get my Nokia(Withing) scale measurements imported with the fitbit tool.

https://www.fitbit.com/weight/withings

It does access my account and I'm allowed to select a profile but there is an error when trying to download my data.

  • Unable to download Withings data at this time. Withings server returned the following error: Cannot set value of the field additionalMeasurements Field: more

My email is correctly in lowercase as previous posts on this matter suggests.

Fails on both Crome and Edge browers.

Withings does not have any settings on https://healthmate.withings.com/ that seems to be of help.

I'm currently trying to use IFTTT.com to sync but so far it's been less than ideal. For example the weight is doubled when syncing which gave us a good laugh at first..

Pulling my hair over this, especially after reading a fair bit on this forum about syncing before buying the scale.

Is this because Withings is changing to oAuth 2.0?

If not, will it become an issue when they change?

Is it possible for a developer to take a second look at this Withings to Fitbit tool?

Here is some information from Withings regarding their API changes:

http://developer.withings.com/oauth2/release.html

http://developer.withings.com/oauth2/#tag/introduction

Any and all help that you have is most apprieciated.

This is a present for my wife and the Fitbit integration was a key selling point.

Shes using a Fitbit charge 3.

Thank you!

@LanuzaFitbit Do you confirm that is up to Withings?

I see this thread is marked "solved" yet users, including myself, are still seeing the error message below when attempting to link a Withings profile with Fitbit via this link...

Unable to authenticate Withings user. Withings server returned the following error: Unknown status code.

Should I start a new thread on this issue?

I reset my router, reconfigured the Wi-Fi on the Nokia scale and everything has been working without any problems.

Alternatively, there is also WeightHub, a desktop app to sync your weight data. Is available from here: www.weemple.com

My measurements stopped going from Withings to Fitbit again yesterday! Any reason for this?

I'm getting the same error now. Hopefully it's resolved soon.

Sometimes the Nokia scale drops the Wi-Fi connection. This has happened a couple times on mine. The fix is easy. Open the Withings Healthmate app on your phone, navigate to Devices, tap settings and then Update Wi-Fi Connection. Follow the prompts. Works eveytime for me.

HealthMate updates fine, but just doesn't sync with Fitbit anymore.

The measurements are going to the healthmate app so it’s not the wi-if. The measurements are not being transferred to the Fitbit app.

As others have reported, I just realized that my weight info was not syncing with the Fitbit app. I logged out of the Withings app and logged back in. Now syncing with Fitbit.

My data wasn't syncing for the past couple days and I read one of the potential fixes was to unlink and relink the account.  Now I'm getting the "Unknown status code."  I reset the wifi connection (even though it was syncing to the HealthMate app so I know the wifi was fine), logged in and out of both Withings/Healthmate and Fitbit on both mobile and web, and ensured both apps were up-to-date.  I've had these accounts linked for years and very annoyed it's now unlinked and unable to re-link.

i've done the same and now getting the same response...soo frustrating!!

My weight info stopped updating yesterday (January 30) as well.  The scale is still on WiFi as it is communicating with the Withings App, but I’ll start the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this thread so far (log in and out of Withings/Nokia app, unlink then try to re-link the Fitbit and Withings accounts) when I get home today.

Hello @Brimmers@siul1979@Dwight27@BFink, and @Baltoscott. Welcome to the Forums @cazbaz1.

If you have not tried it yet, please try to disconnect the apps and then connect them once again. That should help so that everything syncs correctly. Please do keep us posted on how it goes @Baltoscott.

Feel free to reach out with any further questions.

Having the same "Unknown status code".  Tried logging out and back in both apps multiple time and keep get same error.  If this is working for some people, exactly what is the walk through because I'm obviously missing something.  Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by “disconnect the apps”? I’ve logged out and logged back into both but that’s achieved nothing. I’m not willing to do anything further based on some of the reports from other people.

Best Answer

Yes, my issue is that going through the re-linking flow doesn't work.  On the mobile version of the Health Mate app Help Center under the topic "Partner Apps - Linking a partner app to My Health Mate Account there is a notice at the top that says "We noticed a connectivity issue between Withings and Fitbit accounts.  Our development team is currently working with the Fitbit API team to resolve this issue.  We apologize for the inconvenience."

So perhaps it cannot be re-linked until this is resolved?  Will this thread be updated when it is?

Looks like I’m having the same problem as the others @LanuzaFitbit.  Disconnected and then tried to reconnect at: https://www.fitbit.com/weight/withings.  I was able to sign in, but when I tried to reconnect I got an error:

Unknown status code ...Unknown status code ...
