Auto-recognising activity

Hi. I've set auto-recognising all activities to ignore in the Fitbit software on my mobile, but my Versa 4 continues to randomly record my activity. How can I stop this?  When I go to activities on my device and try to go to the settings, it just starts recording my activity and I'm unable to change the settings. Help!

Hi @VickyMcC and welcome to the Community.  I looked at you public profile and see that you are a long time Fitbit user.  It sounds like you disabled the SmartTrack auto recognition feature (the seven exercise list).  The Versa 4 has a different auto-detect feature that will automatically start the Exercise App for these three exercise shortcuts: walk, run, and bike.  It also sounds like you are trying to change settings by tapping on icons on this screen.

Fitbit calls this screen your Exercise tile.  The three icons are the last three shortcuts you used -- but these are Quick Start shortcuts.  They are start and go, you can't edit settings here.

To turn off Walk Detect, please do the following.  Tap on the blue All option, then select Walk.  Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen, look for Walk Detect and toggle it off.  Repeat this for the Run and Bike shortcuts.

I think this will turn off everything for you.
