Feedback about Versa 4

I've had a Versa 2 for the past couple years and it's been great. Rock solid reliable and the battery still lasts for about a whole week. I've been thinking the past few days about upgrading to Versa 4 for the GPS and voice calling ability. But after coming here and reading about all the issues and problems with it, I'm not so sure. Is anybody here having good luck with it?

I am a brand new Versa 4 owner and have never had a Fitbit before. After my experience. I can tell you that I will never own another Fitbit device. The device I have does not function properly and help and support at Fitbit have been absolutely no help or support. In fact, I have been misled on multiple occasions. As I write this, I am still waiting for a resolution to solve the issues that the device currently has and keeping my fingers crossed that I might eventually get the update.

I just upgraded from versa 3. I had Versa 2 which I loved but the screen was going bad. Like the image of the clock face was burned into it. So my husband bought me the 3. It was a hunk of junk. It’s a full bag of issues. Thinking I was upgrading I just got the versa 4. I wish I would have read these forums before I purchased. This watch is NOT an upgrade. The Versa 2 can do more with 3rd party apps. If I was you. I would just look into other watches. I was thinking of returning this one and going back to the Versa 2. But since google took over, everything has been going to hell in a hand basket. They will probably make the 2 not usable soon. I may return it and go with a garmin or just wait this one out to see how long it lasts. So disappointed with everything fitbit.

The Versa 4 was described to me this week as a sh*¥bit 🫢😡
Definitely NOT an upgrade , it’s no coincidence that the 4 was on offer for
the same price as the 3 which is how it was up sold to me “the latest tech
at last versions price “ . I also agree re the Google take over , you
previously could have sensible conversations with the Fitbit team now it’s
all over to you all to resolve via an on line forums & no one at Google is
taking an accountability.

I’m feeling so duped. I’m still juggling with returning this 4. I just realized I cannot find my phone with this watch. I also noticed I’ve missed a text message. My phone was sitting beside me on the counter. I liked the versa 2. It did everything I liked. But since google took over I wrestle with them not supporting at all. They had no problem getting rid of the fun challenges. The versa 3 however newer the touch button on the side is useless. That button is always hit or miss. And when in water the watch is doing all sorts of different things. Plus it would reboot while sitting there in any temperature water.

I too miss the competitive challenges. Not sure why that had to end. Never tried to even get mine wet though.  I guess I have trust issues.
