Text messages not coming through my Versa 4

My versa 4 is not syncing with my text messages. I am getting other calls and notifications, but even though I have it set to show texts, they are not showing up. How do I change this?

Hi there, @Jenny1216. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 4.

While reading your post I was wondering (in case you're an iOS user) if the text messages your Versa 3 is not receiving are iMessages? I also have an iPhone and had a similar trouble with those messages, but I tried toggling the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verified the "Show Previews" was on "Always". If this steps don't work for you, I suggest taking a look at the help article: Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones.

Hi, I'm having the same issue on versa 4, I have a Samsung 21. I get phone call notification but not messages, normal or what's app. I have turned on notifications etc, all help appreciated

This is happening to me also…I have done everything literally everything to fix this issue. I’m not sure who to contact next. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you 😊 I’m really regretting upgrading to the 4 now and I’ve only had it a month 🤦‍:female_sign:

I have too, and the article about troubleshooting doesn’t actually troubleshoot anything. The article just says check a setting. I’ve checked every single notification setting for messages and nothing has worked.

I also upgraded to a Versa 4 and cannot get messages or WhatsApp on it. 
I’ve tried everything to fix it.

Mine started working!!!! …

I was told to go to settings -> message -> notifications -> turn Show Preview to Always. 
I did that then started getting full message on my Lock Screen (because that what I set it to) and didn’t like it, so I changed it to Show Preview on When Unlocked INSTEAD OF Always. And whammy, I started getting them on my watch. Not sure if you can just start directly with Show when Unlocked and it will work, but specifically turning it to Always, wait until you get a couple texts that show on your Lock Screen, then go back in and change it to Show when Unlocked.

I have an iPhone 12. Oh, another thing i did. In your Send and Recieve section, in your Message setting again, make sure the @iCloud address is checked and active. I also clicked on and off the iMessage box a couple times, right above that Send and Recieve setting, ultimately leaving it on. That last part probably didn’t do anything but maybe.

@JoBell34 Thanks for trying the steps shared in this thread. Just to confirm, did you make sure the Show Preview are set as Always or When Unlocked? If that's correct, let's try reconnecting your watch to the Fitbit app by doing the following:

  1. Forget your Versa 4 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections nearby.
  3. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  4. Select your Versa 4, tap Replace Device and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Then, set up the notifications one more time and monitor its behavior.

@Kschlab and @Juliemross Thanks for keeping me posted and your efforts while working on this matter. I'm glad you sorted this out and I'm sure your posts will help other members around the forums.

Yes I have done all of this several times even deleted the app & redownloaded it as well as restarting the watch but nothing has worked. Thanks for your help!
