Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

7/13 Update: We’re continuing to roll out this firmware for the Versa 4 Firmware Update 194.61, and expect more customers are able to update their devices. This is a progressive rollout and all customers can expect to have it within a few weeks. We release updates in phases so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. If you don't see the option to update, don't worry - you'll have it soon!

We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 194.61 for Versa 4 will be available soon! Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!

We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

Just an FYI I did a factory reset twice per tech support and it never
fixed the issue.

Same here. And, when I do manage a sync because I remembered to toggle Bluetooth before opening the app, the app freezes if I view one of the detail screens such as sleep or exercise. There seems no end the range and flavour of bugs 🤪 I do hope fitbit releases a fix soon

Forgot to mention the app freeze I get too! It’s such a raft of issues, only pleasure I found was at least it’s not just me!

2023 and no music control on either of their flagship devices. What a joke, I upgraded from the versa 1 to the versa 4, the freaking fitbit versa 1 has more functionality compared to the 4. I am returning my fitbit 4 and never giving another dime to this company.

Since this update, my phone sync is completely broken.

I have followed the steps suggested but this only works for a few hours a day at most

I have to restart my phone and my fitbit as a minimum EVERY day to try and get them to sync which mean the weather app, Alexa and Google Maps are all useless on my watch

Hi everyone and for our new members, welcome.

Thanks for the details provided, and your efforts while troubleshooting your watch. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this process has caused, and I appreciate your feedback. As mentioned before, our team is aware of the issues with the Versa 4 not syncing correctly to the Fitbit app. They're currently working on this, and I'll update this thread once I have more information from them.

@kayla18 I understand you've tried some steps, but please give a try to the following:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Notifications.
  3. Make sure the Lock Screen Notifications option is set to Show.
  4. Try receiving a new notification to test your watch.

@mdebak Regarding the battery life of your watch, I've requested a case so our team can investigate and provide you with further assistance. They'll get in touch with you shortly.

@schnecke2912 Let me share that a case has been created on your behalf and our Support team will continue helping you with the battery issues via email.

In addition to this, could you and @Terry1924 confirm the model of your phone? I'm asking this as there is an issue with the iOS Fitbit app freezing which has been escalated to our team. Because this isn't related to the firmware update, I'd recommend checking this other thread to receive more updates about it.

Thank you but I’ll just wait on the update. It wasn’t just the battery life. I had sync issues, as well as freezing up, and missing sleep data. I’ve done a factory reset however, and everything is working back to normal.

My wife was offered the firmware update ~2 weeks ago and it seems to have fixed the "nag" screen and battery life issue.  She pairs her Versa 4 with a Samsung S10.

Off topic, while comparing to GPS on her phone, Versa 2 seemed to track miles more accurately than the Versa 4.  No improvement to that issue with the new firmware.

Nice to see that there is a firmware update for the Versa 4.  What about the Agenda app?  Is it part of the update?  If not, when can we expect it.

It's inconceivable that such a useful app integrated in Versa 2 and 3 would no longer be available in the Versa 4.  An oversight or a poor decision?

Best Answer
Just an FYI I am able to get my agenda through the Alexa app on my Versa 4.
Unfortunately when I had the versa 2 it had an agenda app.

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't able however to link the agenda to my Google calendar or Outlook. I'll continue exploring... Envoyé depuis mon appareil Galaxy

Same issues here: not syncing and battery down in 2-3 days.
Factory settings reset is the solution?

Best Answer

@LondenS Yes, that is the only option that fixed all my issues. Note that it will continually prompt you for the new .62 update when you factory reset, but just keep ignoring that message until they release some kind of fix.

I updated my Fitbit Versa 4 and now the battery dies within hours of charging. I have to restart my phone and watch to get it to sync. My Versa four is only 9 months old and was working fine until the update last month. I received another update tonight in which I installed. Hopefully it will correct the new issues. I have owned every version on Fitbit, if the newer issues are not resolved I will be switch to another provider.

How do you get updated?

I tried this, but unfortunately it didn’t work out as hoped. Both problems still occur. My battery went -21% in 10 hours (sleeping!). And I still need to switch off-on my Bluetooth to sync…

next update should be allowing third party access for spotify for versa 4
