We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 210.26 for Versa 4 has been released to all our members. Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!
We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

this didn't work for me. i have a versa 4 and it gives me a big red X after this process. i have a sense 2, and it says 'Data not cleared. Resync and try again', which i can't do because i don't have that phone anymore and it's not synced to anything.
so, 2 useless devices. I'll never buy another fitbit again.

I have similar issue!
... Fitbit versa 4 switches off all of a sudden even with charge level >70% restarts as soon as I plug this to the charger! I have done factory reset a couple of times updated the software version 6120001.210.26, contacted the support people no one could diagnose this! eventually they send me an email stating that nothing can be done because the warranty period is over! is this the way Fitbit treat their customer?! I don't think this is a hardware issue, it's very annoying! I am sharing this under this case as I saw some similarity in my case. thank you

That's exactly my problem! I have the Versa 4. I've only had this watch since this past July and I have to say that ever since Google took over this company, it has declined dramatically. My latest issue with you all is that after downloading and installing the firmware update, my so-called smart watch won't even hold a charge. It goes completely dead after charging to100% within thirty minutes. I've tried everything with this device, from wiping the charging pins on the back of the watch to a full factory reset. Fitbit hasn't been all that good to begin with. Now, it's my opinion, as well as many other users, that your products should no longer be on the market. In addition, You need to take down that intrusive "New features " notification from the app. If I'd wanted to read it, then would have. However, I don't and Fitbit shouldn't try forcing consumers to read comunicays in order to use it. As a result, I have deleted the app from every one of my devices. Fitbit needs to get it together, because right now, this company AND it's products are a COMPLETE waste of time and money.

I have observed the, my device turns off when it detects an activity e.g. 'walking'! it powers up when you. connect a charger!
...I guess these conversations are towards improving the products years worth of health data is with Fitbit!
...Good on you! agree not easy to switch back and forth, that's the issue here, what you do with the data captured in Fitbit's system?

Your update sucks. I don't want it because my battery life doesn't last but 45 minutes. I didn't pay $ 220 for a watch that gets worse after every friggin update.

Hello support team Not sure if you are monitoring the feedback coming through the conversations!
Issue: Versa 4 switches off randomly, connect the charger it restarts!, SW version 210.26. I have been observing this closely most recent one is that it switches off when it detects an activity, it works recently well when you do practically nothing i.e routine and sleep! something is triggering this to switch off.. could you kindly guide me I am happy to do more testing and feedback if that helps in defining the problem clearly.
Regards Anil

There clearly is a problem with this firmware “upgrade” and I like you do not understand why they are not dealing with it. They have lost me as I have changed devices but they are going to lose a lot more if they don’t fix this!
