For the past 5 days my Versa 4 keeps shutting down, usually in the evening. The battery is charged. When I hold the side button it shows the Fitbit icon, then a red X and will not turn on. I have been going through the community for troubleshooting but nothing seems to help. I have the latest update (version 20001.214.25). Syncing does not work stating to make sure Fitbit is on and close to phone or no internet connection. If I place it on the charger, it will turn in after a few minutes. This just started up and I am stumped on finding a resolution. Thank you for any assistance.

I have been having the same issue for about 2 weeks now. I have tried everything in the article you referenced. I'm so frustrated! It'll show that the battery has 70% and suddenly it dies. When I plug it in, the battery will be at 70% still. I'll charge it back up to 100% but as soon as I unplug it the battery life will show 95% and within minutes be in th he 80's.

Thank you. My Versa is charged, though it seems to be going through the battery quicker than before (about 3 days before it shows low battery). I’m wondering if my bedtime reminder which is set for 10:30 pm may have something to do with the problem of it shutting down. This is about the time my Versa shuts off instead of going in sleep mode. I gave turned off the reminder and will see if this may resolve the issue. Just trying other possibilities since I’m having no luck with the troubleshooting suggestions I’ve read.

I'm having the same issue for the past 1 or 2 weeks. Did factory reset 3 times, delete the device in my phone, add it again. Nothing works.
I don't know what else to do, it works for like 2 hours and then die again and it is not the battery! It has over 70% every single time!

@Pcforbes - in your case it seems your watch may have a fault rather than a firmware issue.
When you get rapid drain like that, make sure the watch does not get hot, either on or off charging and it it does stop using it.
If it is not getting hot a factory reset may be worth trying. see Factory reset tips
It can be replaced if under warranty.

Still having shut down issues and it seems like many others are experiencing the same issue within the past few weeks. It’s a shame I have not seen/heard that this issue has not been resolved either. Looks like I’ll be looking for another fitness tracker which is disappointing since I’ve been using Fitbit watches for many years.
