Hello, my Versa 4 a few weeks ago stopped giving me notifications and I tried check all the settings both on my phone/fitbit and nothing worked. I did a factory reset today and now I can't add back in to the app.
Anyone have a solution as to why after a factory reset, the versa is stuck on the setup screen telling you to download the app first? Ive attempted going through the setup process but despite my versa charging and being within a foot of my Pixel 9, it can’t be found. Help please

I typically have to go into the bluetooth settings and tell it to forget the fitbit...that way it treats it as new.

Hi there @Heloisa welcome to the Fitbit community! Thanks for sharing your experience you are having with your Versa 4 after the factory reset.
@jon.kimmel thank you so much for your help!
@Heloisa you can try the steps as follows:
- Restart your Versa 4. Press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen.
- On your phone, go to Settings>Bluetooth and remove all connections that exist with the tracker. (Forget, ignore or unpair device depending on your phone's operating system version) as @jon.kimmel suggested.
- Turn off Bluetooth and restart your phone. (Turn it off and on again).
- When the phone is back on, turn Bluetooth back on but do not try to connect to the watch from here.
- Go to the app. Try to set up the watch as a new device. How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Thank you so much! I did all of that and nothing helped. But a few hours later randomly it worked, so thank you!
But the reason why I reset my fitbit was because I stopped receiving notifications on it, and keeps the same. Any help on this?
Many thanks, Heloisa

Hi @Heloisa ! So good to hear that the issue got solved by itself.
Which type of phone do you use?
Please check in your Versa 4 if you have the "do not disturb-" or "sleep mode" off and settings such as focus, quiet hours, or driving mode on your phone.
I suggest you try the following steps:
- Make sure notifications are set up.
- Force quit the Fitbit app.
- Reset Bluetooth. (Turn it off in settings for 10 seconds and turn it back on).
- Restart your watch and your phone.
- Refresh notifications.
- Set up notifications again.
In this article you will also find a list of requirements you should check in order to be able to receive notifications: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
