After sorting my problems with my Versa 4 not showing steps, (my fault for pairing it with 2 devices, my phone and my i Pad), it's now stopped showing the weather despite being within 18 inches of my phone. The number of steps taken is recording on my phone, but the weather app on the watch has disappeared entirely. (It's still there, but just has a blank space and is showing no information at all.) I'm getting a bit fed up of wearing a quite expensive (£150), glorified step counter which now does nothing else. It's also stopped showing maps of where I've been on my phone, but they ARE shown on my main computer Fitbit Dashboard, (NOT connected by bluetooth) I'm starting to look at Apple or Garmin watches, at least the company will admit when they've got a problem, which Fitbit don't seem capable of. There is a deafening silence about Versa problems despite this website having nothing but complaints about the Versa 4.

Hi again @Townie71 - there seems to be an issue with weather on some phones, eg. Weather app won't update on my Versa 4
Firstly check your Bluetooth situation that you don't have it defined on your iPad and Samsung and running at the same time.
Secondly, like before, logout of the Fitbit App and restart the watch and phone again. This may be more than necessary but it should help.
Thirdly, make sure that the phone is not using battery saving to shutdown the Fitbit App or associated services from running in background.

Hi again Guy, My Bluetooth situation is that it is linked to the Versa on my Samsung Galaxy A13. The Fitbit App has been deleted from my iPad and I have been into settings and removed any pairing links with the Versa and the iPad.
I have removed and re-installed the Fitbit App from my phone and re-paired with the Versa. The Versa has been rebooted.
The phone is not using battery saving.
As for the map not displaying on my phone, I went into settings and noticed that there is a gGoogle Maps icon which I pressed. It came back and asked me to log into Google in order to set up Google Maps on my phone which I did. Now, when I press the icon, it comes back and tells me that setup is complete and that Google maps will auto start when navigation is started on my phone.
I'm really getting fed up with something not working on the Versa as it is a nice looking watch that promises to do everything I require, (step counter, maps of where I've been, heart rate monitor, weather forecast and even credit/debit card which I've installed but haven't used yet). Every time I use it, something seems to stop operating and I'm getting fed up of coming on here in order to try to fix it. IF there is a problem with the software and Fitbit are trying to sort it out, please tell us customers as I don't mind waiting IF there is a fix on the way, otherwise, I'm off.

@Townie71 - thanks for the feedback, unfortunately we users don't know what or if anything will be fixed or improved, just as much in the dark as you.
On my watch the brightness won't work as I want and loading anything from the Gallery causes the watch to go into a reboot loop, not to mention it eats into the battery life like there is no tomorrow.
Guess there are so many things to sort out it could take a very long time.

Hi Guy, I notice that there has FINALLY been a software update. After checking my watch this morning, (12 Feb 20230) all seems to be working ok, step counter, weather display and synching with my phone. I'll check the GPS readout when we go for a walk later. Hope this means that all is sorted because, as previously said, the Versa is a nice watch and it does everything I want. Fingers crossed.

HI Guy, just checked and I have version 1.184.52. on the watch. Checked after our walk yesterday and the map info has downloaded as well, so looks like everything is operating as it should. (Fingers crossed!)

Another update:- yesterday, (Mon 13 Feb 23) went for a walk and forgot to start GPS running, however, when we got back home, I was surprised to find that the GPS map was showing on dashboard anyway. Maybe its got something to do with me logging into Google maps last week? Hope everything keeps working.
