Hello , can someone please tell me way on earth Fitbit got rid off one of the best features on the app I am someone who forgets things so having the All day sync option was great but they have removed it I fell like Fitbit are going backwards .
still love them tho.
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
Best AnswerThey did not remove all-day sync. Instead they removed the option to turn it off. All-day sync is now always on.

To improve your experience with notifications, syncing, and firmware updates, we removed the option to turn off all-day sync from the Fitbit app. When your phone is near your Fitbit device with Bluetooth turned on, it periodically syncs with the Fitbit app to update your stats and download available firmware updates. More frequent syncing rarely, if ever, noticeably decreases your device’s battery life. To learn more about what factors affect battery life, see Can I extend my Fitbit device’s battery life?

I’m just wondering dose that mean I’m going to have to open the Fitbit every night so that my steps are add in and can not be done when the app is running in the background.
thank you

Hi @SunsetRunner @Nigey_Boy - if your phone and Fitbit App are setup correctly and your watch and phone are near each other there is no need to manual sync as it is done automatically.
The trick is to make sure the Fitbit App and associated services can run in background and that location and Bluetooth are left running.

Hi @SunsetRunner - if you updated the firmware to 194.61 you could have a syncing problem.
Turning off/on Bluetooth may help or a factory reset back to the previous version.
